Dear friends and guests,
As we close the year and this chapter on Boyd Lodge’s 90th anniversary, we’re reflecting on what an incredible year it has been. It’s hard to put into words the gratitude we feel for each of you who joined us to celebrate this milestone. This year was so much more than just recognizing the 90 years. It was about the connections, traditions, and memories that make Boyd Lodge so special.
One of the greatest parts of this summer was creating opportunities to bring guests together in new and old ways, by bringing back some past traditions. One of our favorite additions we brought back was the weekly picnic—and being able to share stories and gather around hot dogs and Nancy’s potato salad to celebrate together.
Another highlight was our tie-dye sessions. Everyone who participated was so creative throughout the experience. They were able to customize their shirts with the 90th anniversary emblem to remember the summer and recreate a tradition from the past. It brought so much joy to our hearts.
We had our first-ever summer photo contest and were impressed by all the submissions and fun photos. Congratulations again to the Remund family, the Dahl/Swenson family, and the Olson family! We’re so grateful to have shared these moments with you and can’t wait to share even more memories with you all next summer.
This year, we were honored to hear from so many of you—your stories of the past and generations of memories. Your experiences and feedback have meant the world to us. Like Ronda and her family (shown in the picture below) who have been staying with us for 36 years and shared this touching message:

The Ramsden family has been visiting Boyd Lodge for the past 11 years. They arrived this summer to celebrate with us and recreated one of their favorite photos from six years ago:
The generosity and care you had for us in celebrating this big year was astonishing. The love we felt was overwhelming. The Swenson family even gifted us a beautiful homemade quilt to celebrate our anniversary. It is gorgeous and we are blown away by the generosity.
And the Lauseng and Kafer families crafted this stunning metal window art. Everyone knows we love the deer on it. We also received a clock from the Raths and a metal state cut-out from the Dorrs. It is truly remarkable the amount of love we have felt from your generosity.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without our incredible staff. Their dedication, hard work, and care for every detail ensured this anniversary year was truly unforgettable. From preparing picnic feasts to facilitating tie-dye adventures, their commitment to creating a welcoming and joyful experience for our guests was truly amazing.
As we look to the future, we carry with us the love and energy of this past year. Boyd Lodge has always been more than a place to stay; it’s a home away from home, a gathering place for loved ones and unforgettable memories. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We’re so grateful for the stories you’ve shared, the traditions you’ve built, and the love you’ve brought to Boyd Lodge.
